EXAMINING OF THE EMPHATIC TENDENCY LEVELS OF AMATEUR SOCCER PLAYERS IN TERMS OF SOME VARIABLES (Sample of Adıyaman Province)

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the empathic tendency levels of soccer players in Adıyaman I. Amateur Cluster Soccer League in terms of different variables. The sample group of the study consisted of 120 soccer players from three different amateur soccer teams in Adıyaman I. Amateur Soccer League in 2017-2018 season. As a data collection tool, the ‘’Personal Information Form’’ developed by the researcher and “Empathy Scale in The Sports Situations” developed by Erkuş and Yakupoğlu (2001) were applied to determine the empathic skill levels of the soccer players. In the statistical analysis of the data; One-way ANOVA and T-test statistical methods were used According to the findings obtained in the study, it was determined that there was no significant difference between age and sports license year variables and the empathic tendency levels of the soccer players in the Adıyaman In addition, it was concluded that there was a significant difference between the empathic tendency levels of the players and the number of siblings and their educational status.
