Abstract

The Turkish printed media forms the scope of the study. Simple random sampling method is used. News about children are scanned and analysed by using content analysis method which were published from 1-31 March in 1985, 1995, 2005 and 2015 in the mass newspaper named “Milliyet” and an idea newspaper named “Cumhuriyet”. The news of child death in newspaper are seperated into sex, physical environment, whether photography were used or not, spatial range and revealed child identity and the news are handled in different dimensions.
