PROBLEMS AND SOLUTION PROPASALS ABOUT SAFETY TRANSPORTATION OF STUDENTS

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the problems occurring when the students arrive at school safely by the school service vehicles and to propose solutions to these problems. The data of the study were collected by using semi –structured interview technique among qualitative data collection methods. The studying group of the research consist of 10 administrators and 10 teachers working in schools with school service vehicles in Sivas Provincial Center. It is emphasized that the school service vehicles have not been inspected or insufficiently inspected and law-enforcement officers and national education staff should cooperate according to the research results. There are some findings that school bus drivers are rude to students, that they are in a negative attitude and behaviour towards teachers and school administrators and that school bus drivers should be trained in human relationships, child psychology, traffic and communication
