INVESTIGATION OF THE GRADUATE THESIS MADE IN THE FIELD OF STEM EDUCATION IN TURKEY

Abstract

In this research, the aim of this course is to examine all graduate studies in STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) education field in Turkey. For this purpose, theses on the field of STEM education in YÖK National Thesis Center database were conducted based on document analysis from qualitative data collection methods. The database, were searched by keywords such as "STEM Education", "FeTeMM (Fen-Teknoloji-Mühendislik-Matematik, means STEM - Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) and the theses obtained were analyzed with content analysis. According to this, the following results has been reached: master theses on stem education are more than doctoral dissertations; most of the studies on stem education are conducted at Yıldız Technical University and Gazi University; the most studied subject content is the stem education and activities; among these studies, most used method is the mixed method.
