A FIELD STUDY ON READING BOOKS HABITS OF HARRAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the attitudes of Harran University students toward reading habits and reading habits and their demographic characteristics. For this purpose, a 15-item scale based on expert opinion was applied to 148 volunteer participants. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that there is a significant relationship between the monthly income level and the reading habit. There was no statistically significant relationship between other variables and attitude towards reading books. The results of the study were compared with similar studies and the reasons of similarities and differences were discussed. Finally, how to increase the reading habits of books is examined
