Brainstorming is also an important technique used for the act of designing. This method is one of the key models that best explains why and how a problem needs to be solved. As the design process is based on creativity and innovation, this method is also quite effective in architectural practice.

In this context, the study addresses the relationship between the method used in the architectural product creation process and the Brainstorming method. The study relates the objectives and methods of architectural design processes to the Brainstorming method, aiming to establish a key model for the development of personal creativity. The conceptual framework of the study consists of a literature review of the areas and techniques in which brainstorming is used and the parameters in the architectural design process. The interpretation of the parameters used in two different disciplines, when integrated, reveals the findings of this study. In conclusion, it is anticipated that the evaluation of brainstorming methods, integrated with the criteria in architectural design parameters, will contribute to the production of higher quality products.
2026-03-31T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2026 IKSAD JOURNAL https://iksadjournal.com/index.php/iksad/article/view/380 Digital Communication Leadership Practices of CEOs in the World and Türkiye: A Comparative Analysis 2026-03-30T17:59:02+03:00 Yener Lütfü MERT ylmert@hotmail.com
The rapid development of digital technologies has transformed not only industries but also the roles and practices of top executives. Building on this transformation, this study presents a comprehensive analysis of global trends in digital communication leadership from the perspective of CEOs. Drawing on academic publications, industry reports, and statistical data, the digital communication strategies of CEOs in Türkiye are comparatively evaluated within a global context. The article examines CEOs’ use of social media and other digital platforms, their efforts to foster transparency and build trust, their modes of engagement with stakeholders, and their digital approaches to crisis communication.

The findings indicate that senior executives worldwide are increasingly adopting digital platforms, with professional networks -particularly LinkedIn- emerging as the most widely used medium among CEOs. Transparency and authenticity in digital communication stand out as critical factors that enhance stakeholder trust both globally and in Türkiye. However, the digital presence and engagement levels of CEOs in Türkiye display certain differences due to cultural and organizational dynamics.

In light of these findings, the study emphasizes the importance of the strategic use of social media by CEOs for effective leadership communication in the digital age. It also discusses the value of transparent, consistent, and engagement-oriented communication approaches in strengthening corporate reputation and managing crises. Overall, examples from Türkiye and across the world suggest that while successful digital communication leadership practices share several common characteristics, local contextual factors should not be overlooked.
2026-03-31T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2026 IKSAD JOURNAL https://iksadjournal.com/index.php/iksad/article/view/373 Strategic Analysis of Türkiye From A Geoeconomic Perspective 2026-03-17T14:43:57+03:00 Levent AKSU leventaksu71@hotmail.com
This study examines Türkiye’s geoeconomic and geopolitical position within the framework of structural transformations in the international system through a holistic and strategic perspective. With the deepening of globalization, economic instruments have become decisive components of states’ foreign policy practices; energy security, trade networks, financial capacity, and technological production capabilities have emerged as fundamental factors shaping countries’ spheres of international influence. In the geoeconomics literature, theoretical approaches emphasizing the central role of economic instruments in achieving strategic objectives, along with frameworks demonstrating how the global economic structure reshapes state behavior, provide an important theoretical foundation for analyzing Türkiye’s current position.

Within this context, the research evaluates Türkiye’s energy supply security policies, its role in international trade and transportation corridors, technological advancements in the defense industry, financial vulnerability dynamics, and the level of technological dependency through a multidimensional analytical framework. Furthermore, Türkiye’s pursuit of strategic autonomy is analyzed within the scope of the Middle Corridor and Trans-Caspian transportation networks, as well as regional economic and diplomatic initiatives. The findings indicate that Türkiye’s geoeconomic effectiveness is not solely based on geographical advantages or natural resources; institutional capacity, financial stability, and innovation capability also play a decisive role. Accordingly, the study argues that strengthening Türkiye’s position within the global system depends on the development of sustainable geoeconomic policies and the implementation of coordinated strategies across economic, technological, and institutional domains.

The Türkiye Geoeconomic Power Index (TGPI) measures Türkiye’s geoeconomic strength through ten sub-indices: Energy, Logistics, Finance, Technology & Innovation, Human Capital, Resources, Geopolitics, Military Capacity, Institutional Quality, and Environmental Resilience. For 2024, the TGPI score of 56.95 positions Türkiye at the level of a “regional power.” Projections for 2030, 2040, and 2050 indicate a steady increase in TGPI scores to 65.78, 75.14, and 85.19, respectively. The energy, technology, finance, and resource sub-indices constitute Türkiye’s strongest dimensions, whereas improvements are required in areas such as institutional quality and environmental resilience. The analysis tested the reliability of the sub-indices using Cronbach’s alpha, while Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and sensitivity analysis ensured methodological consistency. Under the 2050 scenario, Türkiye is projected to evolve into a regional geoeconomic hub with the potential to exert influence at the global level in selected strategic sectors.
2026-03-31T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2026 IKSAD JOURNAL https://iksadjournal.com/index.php/iksad/article/view/366 The Impact of the Russia-Ukraine War on Global Energy Prices: Multi-Country Panel Data Analysis 2025-12-17T13:57:01+03:00 Mehmet Ali POLAT mmpol01062011@gmail.com
This paper investigates the impact of the Russia–Ukraine war on global energy prices using a monthly panel data set for the period 2010–2024. A two-way fixed-effects model is estimated for the logarithm of a general consumer energy price index, complemented by sub-market indices for motor fuels, natural gas and electricity. The empirical specification includes a war dummy, the geopolitical risk index developed by Caldara and Iacoviello (2022), as well as macroeconomic and structural control variables capturing real GDP growth, consumer price inflation, exchange rates, energy intensity and net energy imports. Interaction terms for net energy-importing countries and for different income groups are employed to test for asymmetric effects. The baseline results indicate that the outbreak of the Russia–Ukraine war has generated a statistically significant and economically sizeable upward shift in the level of global energy prices. The strongest and most persistent effects are found for natural gas and electricity prices, while the impact on oil and motor fuel prices, although positive and significant, is more moderate. Energy-importing economies experience larger war-related price increases than energy exporters, consistent with an adverse terms-of-trade shock for importers. Geopolitical risk also exerts an upward effect on energy prices, but its marginal contribution becomes more limited once the war dummy is controlled for. Overall, the findings underscore the importance of energy security strategies, supply and infrastructure diversification and energy efficiency policies in reducing vulnerability to future geopolitical disruptions.
2026-03-31T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2026 IKSAD JOURNAL
